Structured training. Real development.

At The Black Belt Foundation, our programmes provide the training systems that support each student’s wider development journey.

Rather than treating martial arts as a collection of unrelated styles, we use structured programmes to help children, teenagers and adults develop confidence, resilience, discipline, practical self-protection and long-term personal skills.

Our programmes are the training methods used within the wider TBBF Student Journeys. Each provides a different route into structured training, while remaining part of the same professional and supportive academy environment.

CQS

A structured TBBF training programme designed to develop skills progressively while supporting confidence, discipline and personal development.

Students are encouraged to work towards clear goals, recognise their progress and continue challenging themselves throughout their training.

Kickboxing

Develop your skills, fitness, focus and confidence through structured kickboxing training within the TBBF academy.

With clear progression and professional coaching, students have the opportunity to continually improve while building the discipline and resilience that sit at the heart of everything we do.

CQB

Focused on structured training and personal development, CQB forms part of the wider range of programmes available through The Black Belt Foundation.

Training takes place within a supportive environment where students can develop their abilities, awareness and confidence at a pace suited to their individual journey.

Iai-jutsu

Iai-jutsu offers students another structured pathway within the wider TBBF training system.

The programme provides opportunities for continued technical and personal development while maintaining the academy’s wider focus on discipline, respect, progression and high training standards.

Lil Dragons

Our Lil Dragons programme provides younger children with an engaging introduction to the TBBF journey.

Training is structured around helping children begin developing confidence, respect, self-discipline and resilience while giving them a positive foundation from which they can continue progressing through the academy.

Lil Dragons forms the first stage of the wider student pathway, leading into the Junior Academy as children develop.

More Than Technical Progression

Technical ability is only one part of the journey. At TBBF, belts recognise technical development, while Student Journeys demonstrate wider progression, with character-focused Quests, Invitation Quests and Leadership Pathways providing additional opportunities for students to develop attitude, confidence and leadership potential, resulting in a structured approach that gives students something meaningful to work towards at every stage.

Our programmes are delivered within a professional academy environment supported by qualified instructors and recognised standards, with TBBF instructors undertaking safeguarding, DBS, first aid, instructor-development and continuing professional-development requirements through professional organisations including BMABA, and this commitment helps create an environment where students and families can feel confident in the quality and professionalism of their training.
